Paul Dickinson

Overview

Paul has over 25+ years of business experience in addition to an Honours Degree in Business Studies and qualifications in Executive Coaching from the University of Sydney, The Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership and UTS (where he lectures and is an Industry Fellow at the Business School). Over the past two decades Paul has coached and managed 100’s of staff and coachees and has established, managed and grown numerous multi-million dollar businesses throughout Australia, Asia and the UK. 

Coaching Style and Approach

Paul has a natural energy and enthusiasm and combines this with a friendly but professional manner. He employs a supportive but challenging style of coaching which lends counterparts to know that they are going to be tested but remain in a safe environment.  Paul’s passion is obvious and infectious but he still able to give the counterpart the space and they need to think and reflect.

Career History 

Following the successful development of a greenfield operation for an HR Consulting and Training business in Scotland, Paul immigrated to Australia in 1998. After management stints at two internationally renowned recruitment consultancies, Paul then set up, managed and grew Charterhouse Partnership as co-Founder and Managing Director. He then relocated to Asia and launched Charterhouse in both Singapore and Hong Kong. Upon returning to Australia he established the executive arm of Kelly Services and became their Managing Director.

Paul moved into the sphere of Management Consulting and Executive Coaching upon his establishment of Positive Leadership Development (with its strong focus upon the principles of Positive Psychology), where he stayed until joining Fortinberry Murray (leaders in applying neuro-science to Leadership Development). Most recently Paul spent 5 years as the General Manager of the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership, before moving to Queensland where he set up and now runs Professional Development Consulting, working with and coaching senior leaders to become the very best versions of themselves.
